New radio

I just bought a new radio for my 02 tahoe z71 and I have power to the radio but no sound coming out of any speakers. I also have a harness that has no place in the back of the new radio. What do I need to wire up to make it play sound. Thanks!

Hi Andrew your new radio should have a blue wire coming out of the back connect it to the I think it is the pink wire going to the amp. The radio has to power the amp for sound. I just went through the fun of doing a new stereo install on my 2004.
Amp was in the center console. Removed the amp from the wiring loop, cut the harness from the speakers to amp and spliced them together.

Ran my own ignition wire from the fuse block and used the stock 12v constant and Ground that was in the dash.

Trusty multi-meter and some time to figure it all out & I'm bumping.
