ok. So I've had these for a week or 2 now. They look great but the light output sucks and aiming them is a *****. The balasts are too loose in the housing so when you screw the aiming screw in too much or too little it pops the balasts out of the housing and you have to take the damn things off entirely to pop them into place again. The projectors are a joke. Light output is weak as hell and I can't get them aimed high enough because of the problem mentioned above so I can only see like 10 feet in front my truck. So now I drive with the brights on. The h1's in the brights are strong so I can see good with them. Pretty pissed about the entire situation.

My options now are either throw them away or drive with the brights on forever. LOL. They do look sweet as hell and the LED's a awesome too. Third option I guess is to drop another $200 and get HID's put in them but then I fear the same aiming problems that I have now....

Anyone else have these issues?

Well, that is expected with these lights. They are made of the cheapest of cheap materials. I would suggest getting some OEM bi-xenon projectors and putting them in place of the crappy projectors that are in there now. It's a little work, but it's doable. The lighting output would be SO much better than what you have now.

F that sucks! I have these coming next week. I was under the impression I could replace the low H1 bulb w/ a Sylvania Sliverstar ST and that would provide enough good light w/ a 4K look.... is that incorrect?

Light output IS terrible without HIDs. I know what you mean with the projectors popping out of place, but mine are fine once I pop them back in, and I did get mine to aim perfectly. I haven't had any issues since I originally installed them. Mine are actually aimed a bit too high and I eventually will need to take them out and lower them a bit. Maybe you got a bad set?

You can replace the bulbs with Silverstars and they might look a bit whiter, but they won't be any brighter. HID's are almost mandatory with these.

Yep installed these this weekend. I changed the bulb to Sylvania ST and I think the light output is fine but the projectors are aiming at the ground when I go over a bump or am going up hill I can see the reflection way off on street signs but as soon as I'm on flat ground you lose the light.

I didn't get any instructions w/ mine. The bottom ballast has 2 screws for aiming but both say R & L. There isn't one for up/down like there is for the high beam..... I kept playing w/ the R/L so I think my one light is completely messed up now and way off. Did you get instructions w/ yours on what the purpose of 2 R/L adjustments are for the low beam?

Even though they both say "R/L" one of them is actually a vertical adjustment. When I first installed mine, they were aimed straight down as well. I parked about 20 feet away from my garage wall and marked off where the projector cut off line was with some tape. I took the headlights out and adjusted one of the screws and popped the lights back in to see which way the beam was moving. I had to do this several times but eventually got them aimed correctly.

I know it's a pain in the ass, but if you keep tinkering with them I think you will get them pointing where they should.

How are yours holding up to water. Took the truck through the car was today. Both headlights fogged up really bad on the inside. Very concerned about this that they won't last long.

On a good note both LED tails didn't have any water in them. The top 3rd brake light did have some.

Mine fog up a little bit when I wash it, but it goes away within a few minutes so I'm not too concerned about it. Make sure that the rubber grommets on the LED's are secure inside the housing. I noticed that a few of mine were loose initially which caused a lot more condensation on the inside.

I just got my pair and am planning on getting them fixed soon..

Since you guys have them all set up, do you know what is the maximum power they can handle? as in 5000k? 3500K?
I will probably be installing the HID kit on these as well, but just want to make sure that I use the right power bulbs, without melting the housing...

awesome thread. Williajj, your's look really sharp with the black/black. My Denali is Champagne in color, debation on going black or chrome. Chrome is more factory looking.

This post insipred me to get those projector lights for my black 07 Denali. Just got them in and am waiting for the HID's to come in. The guy at CarID said that they were H1's that need to go in there. Williajj, did you get H1's for yours?

So I put in Recon's Diamond white H1 in....kind of concidering to going back to a standard H1

I just received a set of these lights for my Yukon. I was wondering if you would share with me some of the things you had to do to get the HID's to fit with the housings.

Any other tips you can share would be greatly appreciated. I wish I would have come across this forum before I ordered them.

The HID bulbs are much wider than the stock H1's, so a lot of filing/dremeling is needed to expand the opening. Mine are aimed to satisfaction and the beam pattern is pretty decent.
