New alternator is here

First, here's the old alternator still on the truck.

Here's the new alternator, I'll wait until the cool morning temps to swap them out. Should be plug and play.

Question:

Does anyone have an exact measurement of the alternator to battery cable for a 1995 4x4 Yukon/Tahoe?

I kept thinking something looked off, then saw you had a TBI. The alternator and compressor swapped sides for the next year.

If your cables are all original, it probably wouldn’t hurt to swap them all out. That sandwiched connection at the positive battery terminal can sometimes give a poor connection if the washers/spacers inside get deformed.

Yeah, that's my thinking too. When I install the new alternator I'll check the length of the battery cable and order a heavy gauge replacement. Can't hurt and will eliminate a potential problem.
