I have a 2003 Z71 Tahoe that came with the stock Panasonic overhead DVD player/monitor. I don't know if it makes a difference, but this is the longer DVD housing for the trucks with no sunroof (see first two pictures below).

My stock player died so I decided to get a larger aftermarket screen/DVD player (Alpine PKG-RSE2). In order to save time, I thought I could tap into the factory harness for the power requirements (battery, ignition, ground, door). Does anyone know what the factory wires are (last picture)? If not, does anyone know how I could maybe found out? There are five:

Black wire with white stripe (1)
Orange
Brown wire with white stripe
Lime green wire with black stripe
Dark green wire with white stripe
Black wire with white stripe (2)

Get a digital multi-meter (all you need is a $15 one from home depot) and while the key is turned forward, with the black probe grounded, stick the red probe on each of the connectors. My guess is that the orange is the power and tthe others are feeding a signal back to the bose (if so equipped) amp. If all else fails, head to a Chevy dealer and make real nice with a service advisor and see if they will get the schematic for you, they have them.

I am looking to buy the factory harness you show in your pic and they are hard to find. Any chance you cut yours out and still have it?
