Hello all,

2001 GMC Yukon 1500 XL

I noticed the connector (pictured below) floating loose between my battery and alternator with no obvious mating connector in site.

I thought at first it was the abs sensor connector but that was still connected.

Anyone know what this is for?

Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Jon

need a better field of view to see where it is coming from and where it might go, but off hand it looks like it might be the brake fluid level sensor connector.

Is this the connector for electronic front shocks that were perhaps replaced with standard shocks. The wires plug in near the top of the shock absorber. You'll have an RPO code of Z55 if you have this option. It should trigger a code though unless someone has disabled it.

Thanks for the replies! I figured it out. The truck has had the power steering actuator bypass done, so this was the connector that was previously going into the now obsolete actuator establishing vehicle speed/fluid pressure.
