ok... so i started playing around lol i love being bored. but i found out it will work if i use another 90degree bend like the one in the picture. then it will look just like the one in the above pic. let me know what you all like of this idea.

here is what it will look like with the new 90degree

thanks. that was like the 3rd one i made. lol the rest i burnt through. welding aluminum is so hard. but that one turned out nice. so i used it... i have just a little more then enough aluminum piping to do another. i hope it turns out like the rest.

DJTricky,,,,, That looks Awesome!! What diameter is that aluminum piece you made? It looks slightly larger in diameter than the opening of the intake? You do not have hood clearance issues I will assume too because it look 2 to 3 inches higher than the stocker plastic piece right? Awesome looking welds on that aluminum btw :)

hey thanks man, its 4 inch piping that i picked up at the junk yard a wile ago. and no clearance issues because of my cowl hood. it fits with like 1 inch to spare.

If you guys get tired of messing around making your own, there is a nice piece made by Extreme Velocity.

http://www.superiorairflow.com/carb-hats/polished-aluminum-4150-series-o-ringed-carb-hat.html

They come with O-rings to seal things up and there is also a riser section if it is too low.

Just something to think about..........:)

P.S. It also has steering baffles to guide the air around the corner.

Here are some early pictures of the supercharged version before the twins.
