navigation discs

So I thought it is time to update my 2009 navigation disc and checked with GMC. It looks like they stopped offering new updates in 2013. Is this true? If so, that's a crock of s***. A $2000 option that GMC isn't going to support? Makes me wish I bought a Toyota.

There was a time that GM would give 1 or 2 disc for free, but most of the time you have to pay to update them from Navigation.com. Just like you have to pay from Nissan, Acura, Jeep, etc.

I got a new nav disk from them last year. If the vehicle has never gotten its free update they will give it to you. That is how I got mine.

Do you get that from the dealer?

I called them and spoke to them about it. They asked my VIN number and said it had never gotten its one free update and then sent me the disk. This is the number from the bottom of their page: (877) 628-3472. Hope this helps

Thanks, I assume mine has never gotten the free update. I have a 2011 with 2011 map disk. Worth a shot.

That is pretty weird. It was last year when I got the free disc for my Hoe.

I tried a couple of months ago to update mine since its never been done. I got the same response as above. They no longer provide free updates. They did not give a reason when I pressed them. They told me to try the dealer I purchased the vehicle from.

I think I have one from a guy here that was from 2011? I could sure use a newer one, lots of new roads around here that are not listed. Any help?
