man, i was losing my mind over this one. i’ve got a 2018 tahoe that had the driver door repainted by the previous owner and the color never looked quite right. i tried matching it using the code from the door jamb but that sticker’s faded beyond saving. dealer said it was “gray metallic,” which wasn’t super helpful since gm’s got like three versions of that shade. i finally found the exact paint code after running my vin through gmcwindowsticker.com it listed the original exterior and interior colors from factory. got the paint mixed again using that code and bam, perfect match this time. crazy how one little code makes all the difference.
