I started a thread weeks ago trying to decide which way I should go with the exterior look of the truck and after several changes during the process, today I got the call that it was finally finished.

Started out as the LS trim package, then added Wheels, Tints, Lights & HD hood but even that wasn't enough I wanted to do something to make it stand apart from the trucks in my area. After the suggestions from members of this site I decided to do away with almost all the black pieces on the truck and color match them.

Purchased 12/2010

6/2012 - Tints, Rims, lights & HD Hood

Now - Complete repaint with corrosion removed around the tailgate, Debadged, Trim removed, Bumper pad color matched, DL-3 Mirrors w/color matched caps, LTZ Door handles, Rear door handle and glass button ring color matched, Street scene smooth caps, Painted trailer hitch, AMI Polished bowtie that was painted gloss black w/ color matched outline then clear coated.

And Thanks to a photoshop from my boy Strobin I was able to take this last minute idea and make it a reality.

Its like a brand new truck to me! I can definitely get use to the look and I am actually glad I decided to remove the molding and color match almost all the black pieces. Next up is the Escalade roof rack and possibly painting the lower bumper gloss black to match the running boards.

Thanks guys! I will probably do a 2/4 drop and some bags in the rear since I still plan to use it for towing.

Looks really good! Wheels are too big for my taste, but otherwise is just how I like. A Z71 grille would look awesome on it, too.

You should be very proud to drive that around, very nice and clean.

Get rid of the roof rack, a mild drop, and change your sig :Handshake:

Awesome changes made!! Grille bowtie is my favorite ;) Well Done.

I do believe the bowtie is my favorite as well. I added some clear corners on it as well but not too sure how I like that yet though.

Damn! Speechless son......f'n great job!

I have been looking into a replacement grille, I just cant make up my mind.. I don't think I want to go color matched though I still need a little bit of chrome to go with the wheels.

Needs to be lower but thats been said already.

Nice work. She looks so purdy!

How about just removing the roof rack. Here is a pic for reference. (Almost your twin)

Lowering is definitely in the cards something like you have, but the roof rack delete just does not look right on these body styles. I've seem some tahoe's that can pull it off never a suburban though, But you are right that truck is damn near identical!

I love driving it around! It's a nice change from the camaro for the last 3 weeks. I plan to pick up the Escalade rack from SuperchargedSS and see how it works out but I just cant do the rack delete option.
