I keep seeing everyone and there antenna delete mod. What is that exactly..... Do you just remove it?

The Escalade comes with an antenna in the glass. So the piece that your antenna goes through on yours has a hole in. The Escalade one doesn't.

Some people mount the antenna under the hood. I got a Metra amplified antenna that attaches inside the vehicle but I haven't installed it yet. Metra part # 44-UA20

I tried this and lost my AM reception even with the bracket grounded.

I've got mine hidden under my hood, and my reception is fine. It looks better too (IMO).

Yes I do, but I live in Tampa, so I could probably get good reception with no antenna (all of the bay area stations are within 20 miles of me).
