Sweet!!! The shop just ordered a Magnaflow #13259 for me and it was not in his catolog. He had to call about it to see if they made such a muffler with the part number and of course they do. It should be at the shop tomorrow and they will put it on monday. My shop got it for tad less than narco44 paid for his. I am getting it all said and done put on out the door for $100.00. My exhaust is steel good so just changing the Y part to a single 3" straight piece and welding it in. I wonder if it will cause any codes to get thrown? The one on it from factory is huge! It don't need replacing yet but I want the nice sound even though the old one has some life left it. But man what weight it will save going to the magnaflow. I hope it sounds as good as narco44. Its going on a yukon xl 5.3L (suburban), hope it don't sound much different with longer pipes then the tahoe's. I just got a ton of overtime this past two weeks and it is the only reason I was able to get it done and the cheap price offered to me was not one to pass up. I will try to record it when done. Gas mileage get better?

You won't get any codes. It'll work just fine.

Mine tried to tell me mine was 2.75 also. I told him it was a 3" on the muffler and all the ones i read about stated 3". It looked 3". He checked and sure enough 3". Mine is a 2000 model.

F-them for being so persistently wrong. Not getting my business. When I consult an 'expert', I just ask you not to be wrong.

I got my magnaflow put on. I like how it sounds. You hear it every time even if you even barely accelerate. That may get annoying though. The only thing i forsure did not like was the drone like sound when you accelerate going on the highway.
It was fine going through town driving. The drone on highway is like what you get at the top of gesr shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. Once I was past that it was fine doing like 5o or so.
On the hwy once i got above that and wether on cruise or not it was a constant accelerate drone sound. I did not like that and wish that was gone. It was not really loud but forsure there and not easy to cover up with the radio. I wish i could cut that out when you are cruising at say around 2000 rpms. I don't know if a resonator would help as I never had one and know nothing about them or switch to dual exhaust. I was not hearing it on narco44 video and wanted mine like his. There was a guy on here that his was louder more aggressive then his and think mine is more like his at the time i thought his maybe a exception and not common on the aggressiveness it sounded.
I got the xl turbo 13259 muffler. Its not aggressive like a flow master 40. I thought about duals before getting it done and felt I can add duals afterwards and just buy another muffler. What would you guys think to do? The guy at the shop thought it would not be hard to do later if i wanted duals and just by another magnaflow muffler. I wonder if i got another muffler and went duals if it would quiet it down on top end rpm's any and going through the shift? I don't want to take to much off just the drone part.

I would go with magnaflow, i have them and they sound great. Highway speeds not annoying and even cruising around. Then punch it and the truck is a beast, you will not be disappointed.

Just got my Magnaflow 13259 installed. Eliminated the Y-Tail pipe and made one. Sounds tough on startup. Tame until you mash on it. I do have a drone @ 75mph. Will be adding better stereo and some Dynamat at some point.

i got my magnaflow muffler(13259) installed last week with the stock piping and cut out the little y-pipe behind the muffler and ran a straight pipe, so it is a single in single out...sounds great! no drone on the higway!
I love mine! Good call Narco!

CORSA!!!

Just had to be different. Not sure why everyone wants to be just like everyone else with the Magnaflow and Flowmasters.

I'm actually still sitting stock cause my wife doesn't like loud.

I need to get my own Yukon, dammit.

Loved my Magnaflow, until I got the Corsa Touring. The Flowmasters have the chambered design, so there will be some loss in performance.

magnaflows are a bit louder and tend to produce DRONE (especially in an SUV where it can echo thru the cabin)

I went with a Magnaflow 14377 (left over from my GTO) http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=8605

I'm very happy with the sound,
it now sounds like a TRUCK, but no drone, and not too loud.
