LTZ grill insert

The top chrome part of my grill just broke off driving down the interstate.

I’ve searched for this specific piece because it looks like I should be able to pop a replacement back into those inserts.

Dealer told me I had to replace the full grill assembly.

Anyone have any insight on replacing this grill insert?

Gonna be whole grill. I replaced mine with RST version - not too bad a job - maybe an hour and a half, but sucks in the heat...
