Looking for a definitive answer/ PowerStop brakes

I am trying not to "beat a dead horse"..... I am researching the possibility of installing PowerStop EVOLUTION rotors-calipers-carbon fiber pads on the front. PowerStop carbon fiber pads, only on the rear.

I keep hearing the ( KC2067) 2007 kits will be a BOLT-ON to my (2005 YukonXL - 4wd - 17" wheels). for a BETTER result.
Is that correct?? Or do I need a special caliper bracket, etc, for a mod?

Or, is the PowerStop ( KC2009) 2005 better enough?
I spoke with PowerStop today, and they will not commit to the " 2007 on a 2005 swap".

I want to make sure, I, and my mechanic has no surprises.

I am getting the PowerStop calipers due to the mileage on my original calipers, so what the heck... Might as well get the red ones.
I may call Russell for S.S. brakes lines, while I am at it.

I believe someone here said the wheels have to be minimum 18" to clear the 07 and newer brake upgrade. Someone who knows will chime in.

Yea... I have heard 18" and 17"..... We'll figure it out. Someone did the upgrade.

17" minimum. Yes, you need the caliper brackets. Good thread here:

Yes. Did the 07 upgrade on my 03. Minimum of 17" wheels now. 16's will no longer fit. And you will need the 07 caliper mounting bracket to mount the 07 caliper. Iirc 07-14 fit. I'm sure there are TONS in the junkyards--cheap.

Look at the clearance with the 07 brake setup. This is the 17's.
This was with my 22's.

Yes, that's the bracket.

I do usually suggest you use 2008+ for these because there are 2 castings on 2007 and the later ones accommodate the drag reduction clips.
