Hi— have had my 03 Yukon sly for a year now, and need to stop leaving my doors open. The lock switch (and key fob) only work on the front doors, the rear and hatch need no be locked manually. Any advice before I get bent over by my mechanic?
Thanks

How mechanically inclined are you? If you want to break out the parts cannon before you visit the mechanic, replacing the driver's door switch would be the first thing I tried -- but others may have better ideas. If you are mechanically inclined, you would want to test the circuit starting at the driver's side door switch all the way to the doors, to see where the power loss is occurring. Good luck, in any case.

What is your experience and knowledge of electrical repair? Do you know how to use test meter or a 12v test lamp? The more you know the more help we can give, but if you’re limited to just swapping parts it can get expensive doing DIY and paying to replace good parts.

Is there a junkyard nearby where you can get lock actuator , switches etc. cheap, or will you be paying more $$?

Can only be 5 issues from my view.

Door switch
Harness especially door harness
Body Controller
Actuators
Relais/Fuses

I would first check the actuators, when you have the door open, check the harness, swapp the door switch, swapp or check relais and fuses, or look for a used body controller.

Best use a wiring plan and work with multimeter....
