We hereby christen you...SAVAGE LM7 Builder. Change your forum name now. :p
Haha this one's for the books for sure. Don't know what I was thinking starting the teardown at 3pm thinking I'd be done by 11pm finally got her tuned in (almost 100%) finally let her rip last night and I was astonished at the mid-top end results. At the moment I'm getting my TBSS intake list together. So far I'm at approx $1500 for the tbss intake conversion where does it end? I won't pull the trigger yet. Want to add a few thousand miles with this savage cam putting poor old SBE with 260k to work. Also looking into new rotating assembly with flattops. Man oh man... might as well go 6.0....

Well dont keep us waiting, what did it put down for power?
Haha you're right. My bad. I have it on 91 octane (what we have here in Cali) I reside in HB (sea level) after getting the idle ironed out, which was a bit of a challenge with such a tight LSA, she put 349.72 ft tq @ 4500 rpm and 337.8 hp at 5800 rpm. That was on a dynojet on a chilly weather type of day. Running a 285/50/20 tire on it.

Unfortunately I did not get a baseline prior to the cam.

Mods before cam were: LT headers, KN intake, catless, superchips 91 tune

Mods after cam (and supporting mods) are LT headers, KN intake, catless, dyno tune on 91

If I had to take a guess I probably was making 245hp and 280tq to the wheel?

Stock LM7 #s for mine were 285hp and 325tq at the crank

Let me know what you think

Richard Holdener dynoed a 5.3 with all accessories and stock intake tube and manifolds and got 313ish without cats and muffler.

5.3 accessories test

So yeah you were probably close to 320 with headers and K&n. Id say you're doing pretty good now

Part of the build... finally got my replacement Mechman Alternator!! Original one gave out a year ago. Upgraded to a better one and it's finally in! excited!20230322_202906.jpg
Black "320" amp. Previous was a 270amp RIP

Even though I got a 320amp, the bench test shows it puts out 400+ amps. What more can I ask for? oh yeah, and made in the USA

So this might be my last post until I get the TBSS intake, TB and bigger injectors in and installed. I have 3 clips, 1 is a dyno idle clip after doing a pull, the 2nd clip is a walk around the burb this morning after getting some coffee. The last one is the glorious pull all the way up to 6200 rpm. I'm really going to try and get a equal length true dual system with the xpipe in the muffler.

Put the speaker loud to enjoy the sound lol
