Just got a 05 Tahoe z71

It has well over 200k miles but seems to run great ,trans jerks from 1 to 2 while shifting but ac is cold and it has alot of features ,I am getting bad mialiage I will checks plugs later...

Get a good scan tool so you see what's going on with the ECM and poor mileage. Bad cats, vacuum leaks, etc.

Ok so far I just cleaned throttle body ,and it accelerates better. Even though my buddy is a mechanic I'm still gonna pull plugs and inspect but so far so good,oh ya DVD in rear was really hot

Well after losing one of the heat shields on plug boot and driving yo a few stores the day went away but I drove it and it has more pickup still getting bad mpg,so mon I'll go to pull codes...

I'd get the P0894 checked out ASAP. That's a trans slipping code. The P0455 is an evap code.

Haven't had a chance to look at evap but some say that's not a mialiage issue ,Tuesday I will try n do the vacuum leak test
