Yesterday as I was crawling under the Kon, I began to wonder :hmm:if I were to pull the isolators from the rear springs would that give me a little drop? I recall reading:deal: if you pull them you get like 1/2 inch of additional drop when you put aftermarket springs in. Is is safe to do that on stock suspension? Is it even worth the time to do it? :idiot:

Perfectly sake, and I got .3" of drop from removal, ad then lost it when I put them back.
Also it does not matter if you have stock coils, or drop/lift coils, you can do that.

Thanks for the response. I'll try to get around to it this week or the weekend. Daylight savings makes my evenings more enjoyable.
So whats the easiest way to do it? Pop them out and call it a day?

Yep pop spring out, pull them off and put the spring back, it should barely make any noise considering they are the stock coils.

I've never had an issue with squeaking when the isolators are removed. You can always spray the coil buckets with white lithium grease.

The coil buckets where the coils slip over/under. I've never heard a sound from mine in the past 2 1/2 years.

Thanks Max. I need to make a run after work to get some of that stuff.. then depending on my time, I'll try to pop them out.

I wouldn't worry about spraying them unless they squeak, none of the trucks I have dropped squeak

If you hear squeaking check shock upper and lower bolts, they may be loose. Removing isolators should not cause any noise.
