I run the motor pool for a sheriff's dept. We have 20+ 2015-'20 Tahoe PPVs. Currently I have two of them that have intermittent high beams. The highs do not come on when in low beam mode but they are inconsistent when the high beams are on. The low beams always work correctly. Totally random times and temperatures. Sometimes they work for long periods and other times they will flash back and forth. These are OEM headlights with OEM or equivalent bulbs. Our units do not have the Intellibeam system. I've tried to supply as much info as possible. Has anyone else run into this problem or have any suggestions?
Thank you, Steve

What are the model years of the 2 trucks with the high beam issues?

Is the automatic setting present and enabled for the high beams? Where it will turn back to low beams if it senses an incoming vehicle?

I know you say you don’t have the intellebeam system or whatever it’s called but with mine I can enable the auto highbeam feature by pushing the highbeam/turn signal bar forward and hold for a second then release. However I’ve noticed when I use the auto highbeam feature occasionally on back roads, if I turn on the fog lights it disables my auto high beams completely and will only let me run low beams until I either manual turn off the auto highbeam feature by toggling in for a second or turning off my fog lights. I have an ‘18 Denali ultimate package. Hope this helps.

PPV’s (the police version of these trucks) are different from the civilian models. They are programmed differently.

What you are experiencing when your fog lights are on is completely normal for these trucks. There are kits and some wiring options that keep all the lights on when high beams come on. :)

Don't ppv's start as civilian models then go to an uptfitter? The might have just forgotten to disable that feature on this truck? But who knows

Gotcha. Yeah I thought they were just the base LS or LT models, then they get accessorized.
