What a POS ‼️
Low beam bulbs are hard to install , they do not “click” in place ..
High beam bulbs rattle inside , needs extra “O” ring to keep bulb in place .
And this is where problems started ,
Low beams flush 3 times and stayed off ,CEL lights up ‼️ high been working OK for now ,
So .. low beam bulbs are out ‼️OEM bulbs back in ,codes cleared, we will see how high beam performs in the future.

this will fix your low beam issue, just grab a better relay the one supplied with the harness is junk but the harness is decent otherwise.
requires minor modification to the dust cap, minor modification to the light connector and minor electrical know-how.
once installed you will be happy I can assure you
the base of this setup is those hylux ballast they one of the few good ones around that are not $300+ takes around 2-3 weeks for them to arrive from china
I have ran them for years no issue's these that i bought in 23 went in the wifes 2016 rig, i bought another set in 2019 they are in the silverado, another set i bought way back had them in my 2012 but when the housings faded i bit the bullet and bought the $1200 morimoto's
the hids work great in the factory projector housings. I recommend 6000k which is a nice white light, 8000k is a smidge blue, 10,000k is too much blue, 5000k is yucky yellow

also, note you don't want to run these on the stock wiring, hence the relay harness. the harness allows you to just use the stock headlight connector as a trigger and then there is "0" load on the factory light harness.

And well .. why no one says anything before ❓❓
Sounds complicated.. I pass
High beam should be fine for now , until upgrade to , some sort of fog lights .
Like 10” lights
My attempt to “upgrade” stock bulbs failed BIG TIME
I miss ‘90 when everything works
Yea , I know …I m old ..

Can I keep high beam bulbs? With out modifications .For now they do work , will they effect anything on long run ?

high beams are separate and will work just as they always do.
the setup is completely reversible back to stock anytime
that's what the wiring harness is for, you just plug the factory light harness into the new harness, connect power & ground, plug in the new bulbs to the ballast.
mount the ballast on top of the radiator support.
example below, instead of powering off of the factory light harness, a relay is used and the factory light +positive signal is used a "trigger" only for the relay, that way there is no power load at all on the factory light harness, power then comes to the ballast directly from the battery.
only real modification is to the dust cover which is replaceable if you decide to go back to stock bulbs

since installing that kit as linked above, i did run into a couple small issues #1 found out real fast the supplied relay is junk, recommend using a brand name relay instead which is only a few bucks
#2 at some point the DRL fuse went bad, that caused the relay to make audible "buzzing noise". Figuring out it was just the DRL fuse took quite a bit of troubleshooting (due to me not paying attention) because the headlights worked fine and everything checked out "good" but DRL's do not turn on until you are in drive. but I figured it out eventually when the DRL's didn't light up.
which should have been real easy because the relay would only buzz when the truck was put in gear but I didn't initially notice the DRL's not coming on, so I kinda felt dumb on that one. lol

one other note is once these lights are installed a system scan may show "open circuit" on the low beam headlights which is normal and does not cause anything to show up in the dic or any trouble lights. it just see's the ground is not used on the low beam headlights anymore with a scanner, it affects nothing.

I find that most of these replacement LEDs are too blue. This resulted on people flashing their high-beams at me all the time. I prefer lights that look more yellow-white.
