I installed the Spectre CAI today and I am amazed. It really opened up the trucks throttle Response. I did see a decrease in In town MPG however better Highway MPG. Let's just hope it last as long as they say it does :Handshake:

I'm thinking of picking one of these up.

Is the in town MPG lower because you're driving it differently?

Spectre runs for about $170 at O'Reilly autoparts here in Tucson. About $165 on their site, and $135 is the lowest I saw it on ebay. Online you're looking at $10-20 for shipping from what I saw, so I'm just picking mine up in person :)

Maybe 2 more weeks, I'd really like to get this thing in. Want to hear some more reviews of it first though.

I totally understand the MPG going down at first. Mine dropped by an average of .8 mpg

Got mine installed last night. As others have said, it is hard to stay out of the throttle now.

Would this setup work inside factory airbox

I am not sure why you would do that. It would kind of defeat the purpose of installing an aftermarket CAI. The filter will not fit in the box without cutting up the box.

I picked up mine at Pepboys for $89.99. Fits as nice as any other short ram intake I have seen out there.

Well, After 3 weeks of driving with the CAI, The computer got used to it and saw a 1-2 MPG increase even though I still drive with a heavy foot. I still would not trade it for a AEM or K&N :) I have to say that I would recommend Spectre to anyone, I am even going to throw one on my Wife's Magnum

It's been just over a month, about 3-4 tanks with it in. I'm seeing at least 1 if not 2 mpg average.

After about a month, I can't say I have seen an improvement in MPG. Driving about the same.
