nope...you just take out the two or three screws holding them in on the side...if I remember correctly, they were kinda seated in there pretty snug though..

Heres a pic of when I took mine off...maybe it'll help to show how it sits

would you be able to edit this with paint and circle where the three screws are? I can only find the one (obvious in the front)

There is a metal clip on the bottom right (pull in this area first) and three, 3 fingered prongs along the left edge (vertically) that go into the slots that are pictured in the pic above with them removed.

You have to pull like shit and do some rocking but they will come out.

Be careful as the places where you can hold on to have some sharp edges.

I put this post up a couple months ago, everybody was real helpful. I just have #1 take top screw off, #2 pop retaining clip on bottom, #3 just pull it out. You will have to pull really hard!!! I ended up taking the top plastic peice off also and painted it, but it made it easier. Just had to pull, kinda up, kinda out, just pull really hard. You might think you will break it, or something, but it just has clips, i didn't break mine, so... heres a pic of where the clip is at. you can also see where i painted the top plastic peice. hope it helps.
