I'm looking for a recommendation for a high torque starter for my rig. Its a 1998 2 Door 4wd. I recently had the 350 rebuilt into a 383 stroker. The original starter to the truck (its been repaired/rebuilt once) is slow to crank this new stroker motor. Compression is supposed to be 9.2 to 1 on the new motor. Not really sure what the original 350 had. Can anyone recommend a good one for a good price? Thanks!

So I ended up buying a powermaster starter, model 3510 from Summit. Its night and day difference from my old worn out original. Made in the USA too. I did have to trim a little sheet metal from the bell housing shield but no big deal. Also had to enlarge the ring terminal for the big 12 volt wire from the battery to strarter post. Thus far its starting the new 383 great. Sounds cool too.
