hey guys looking to upgrade my factory alt. looking for an alt that can idle high. plz help

The biggest I've seen for our trucks is 160 amps, compared to stock 145 amps. Just google it.

find Rob in his section and message him.. tell him that I referred you to get an alternator and he will lower the price

that alternator does well over 200 amps at idle and 270 amps at 2k RPM

The Iraggi or Ohio Generator ones put out 300 amps if I remember right.

I have the Ohio Generator Unit in my 08 Yukon. it was lab tested at 313 amps.. I love it!!! Call Gus at Ohio Generator 330-875-6677

all great company's but I have personally dealt with Rob so I know his customer service.. he actually threw in an overdrive pulley for free with my alt so I could get close to 230+ amps at idle and still well over 270 amps at 2k rpm
he can custom make you a larger alternator if you would like but typically the way they are designed the at idle performance suffers which is why when most people run up to 4 alternators they have a master alternator that is around 220 amps peak so they can still have a good at idle voltage
