HID ballast placement

welp i think i screwed up, i assumed the ballasts were weather proof, and tonight i just noticed one of my week old hids in my fogs has gone out, checked the plugged but i guess it got wet.. i couldnt find a good place so i just zip tied them on the bumper brace.. looks like ill reorder any help where to hide them out of the weather?? thx

whats the difference between the 2 kits? the raptor and the ddm? just one has smaller ballasts?

i actually zip tied mine on top of the foglight bracket

good idea, i went out and did the same i feel better about them there.. i got the other to work i guess the connection was loose.. and i taped everything up to hopefully avoid any water damage..

Something else went wrong with the ballast becuz I zip tied mine to the exact same place and I have sprayed mine directly and they still work perfect!!! Try to get the warranted!!!

I had that happen with one for my headlights after about a month. It was advertised as waterproof and they did replace it. When I got the replacement I put silicone over any place water could get in. That was about 10 months ago and I haven't had any problems since.

silicone is a modder's best friend. I siliconed every exterior light that I got just to be sure.
