Get a engine timing light and connect it as if checking timing and look at the spray pattern at nite with it.

that was the plans, should i disconnect the computer from the distributor when i do it?

Not if you are using the timing light to check spray pattern no ...

got the timing light out tonight and from what i saw it didnt look terrible, there was fuel splashing the outside edges of the throttle body and i didnt see anything unusual but then again the light was so bright i couldnt see very well. i checked it under a solid light you could see a little ring of fuel shooting down every now and then on both sides. no big drops or anything, i put some seafoam in the tank 2 days ago, probably wont do anything, i dont really believe in any of that additive crap but who knows. it kind of does seem to be running a bit better. doesnt shake as much at idle anymore.

Chevron's techron actually works very well. It should preferably not hit the walls and puddle up before entering the intake on the way down. perhaps it is time for new ones.

yeah, thats what its doing, you can see drips running down the walls

Change them out or if you got some cheese get a high performance TBI unit.

well im still fighting this battle... i put new injectors in last month, turns out last time i cleaned the old ones i put one in wrong
anyways, it seemed fine for a bit like always when i replace something, then it starts happening again, well now it almost seems like a miss every now and then and i noticed at a slow coast my idle slightly increases and decreases a few rpms rapidly.

i should really buy that plug in... so i can see whats going on

think i finally solved this one. i put a new distributor in, when i put the new cap and rotor on some how i didnt push the rotor down far enought and it was hitting the cap.. must have been a crappy cap and rotor before and my bad installation of the new one caused the newish problems, guess that explains it dissapering and coming back
runs fine now thanks for the help everyone

Eric95tahoe I have this same problem with my tahoe. same year ..do you guys think if i get a tune up it will help this problem?

Check cap & rotor
Check timing
Check TBI gasket

this somewhat pertains to the post: Would I be able to tune my truck with the ALDL cable also? If so, what programs?

No, you can read with an ALDL cable but to burn a chip you need more hardware ... There is a mod that can be done, you basically drop an eeprom into where the prom is at. You can flash is on demand.
