help upgrading audio

i was wondering if i can hook up a subwoofer setup to the stock deck.....

Yep. You'll need a line out converter or an amp that has high level inputs built-in. These will take the higher voltage ac audio signal from your stock deck/amp and convert it to a lower voltage pre-amp level signal that will work with aftermarket amps.
