I am looking to get into a denali... I have two choices:

1. 2005 White 65k for $24k
2. 2005 Black 120k for $17k

The white has the middle bench, which I like, the black is VERY clean for the mileage...

Should I be worried about 120k miles???

Any maintenance I should be looking for???

I am coming off a Land Cruiser, mainly for the extra towing capacity, but also for ease of repairs compared to the LC. it is far easier to get parts for the Yukon.

What is everyone's thoughts?

is $7k too much to pay for a 60k mile difference?

I have no idea bro. I recently (june) bought an 06 with 66K for $25K and I was nervous about the miles also but all is well so far 13K miles later. Guess it all depends on how equiped. Mine had Nav and RSE if that makes a difference in comparing prices

bottom line 7k is to much for the difference. I have seen 06 denalis with less miles for cheaper around here.

Both seem really over priced to me. I couldn't see paying over 20k for one of these trucks unless it had almost no miles on it.

I paid near $30k for my 2003 Denali back in Sept 2006...it had 64k miles

2003 Black 64k for $30k

Now...it has 100,1** miles on it....with no problems...so your mileage factor doesnt matter...just depends on how well it was taken care of...you have to see that with your own eye...not by the mileage. Thats not even a good way to "base" the decision these days.

And now...Im seeing Denalis' go for between $12-$17 with below 80k miles.... Keep looking bro...I was just in a hurry because I had to leave the state in 2 days and needed a bigger vehicle...I probly coulda found a much better deal

Both seem over priced to me aswell. I bought my truck new in early '04 and have put 43k+ and (knock on wood) haven't had one issue with it! I say if you must choose go with the black one for less money and that way if there are any problems you'll have a little extra cash to give you a little breathing room. :imo:

When it comes down to it you never know when your buying a "used" car so it's always a tough decision. My $.02

overpriced for sure. and if your really concerned and if its a dealer, then ask for the carfax. cant hurt. also Ive had no problems with my 02 bought with 118k now has 136k or so. just have common sense and take decent care of a car and it will last a while

I got my 2000 Yukon Feb 07 for 85K with 82K miles. I felt comfortable with the mileage by seeing alot others with 200K+ mileage and vertually problem free. I havent seen a lot of people beating down the doors to buy these rigs right now especially with the holidays coming up. Come up with a reasonable number your comfortable with, and go in prepaired to buy or walk. Tell them they bcan waste 2 hours of both your tiome and theres but this is the highest your willing to pay. I was lucky I made my deal on Valentines Day, it didnt take long for the guy for reality to set in, My deal was done in about 40 minutes, and went back the next day to get it all shined and ready to go. Never show weakness. They sell a boat load of more vehicles than you buy, so they already have the upper hand in the sale.

Yeah, the state of Georgia valued my '05 tahoe at $5400 back in '07.

I have to agree with pretty much everyone in that they both seem over-priced, by a lot.

I got my '03 about 4 months ago. White, absolutely spotless, about 110k miles. Everything works, although I did have to replace the rear suspension which ain't cheap. Paid $11,500 for it, figure 12.5 w/the suspension. Still a good deal, and I love it.

I'd keep looking around if I was you, or make an offer considerably lower on either one and see what happens. Around here there are more people trying to get rid of the SUV's then buying, so it's easy to get a deal if you look long enough.

Denali - Escalade...same thing...why would it be better to spend on the Escalade? Minus the "cool" image you get from having the weed reef on the front grill?

Yeah, i don't get why people prefer the escalade over the denali. Something about the escalade is ugly to me - almost looks "dated". Around here, denali's seems to go for more than the escalades.

Anyway, like i said earlier, both are overpriced. I wouldn't hesitate to offer either seller at least 4k below their askign price.
