What's up everyone, Carmine here for the big NY.

I have a 2011 Tahoe LTZ and I am looking to make her nice and pretty. I have a few questions::cheers:

1. I am looking to add a body kit. Right now most likely looking for the fenders, back bumper and possibly a hood with the hood scoops already manufactured on the hood.

2. Body kits, am I able to get them in the color of my Tahoe? I asked a few places in my area if they would paint but they told me it would cost a few G's.

3. I removed all the badges on my Tahoe, except the rear and of course the one on the grille. Do they make a grille that does not have the Chevy logo? And for the rear, is it bolted on or is it also two sided tape like the others were?

Thanks for reading, thanks for your time and thanks in advance for any suggestions or feedback.

Have a great weekend yall!!

2. I think your going to have to have it painted to your color.
3. They make a grille without a chevy emblem. A couple of the guys here have them. The rear emblem is double sided tape. It comes off with some heat like a hair dryer and then using your fingers to get it off. Atleast that's what I did. http://www.alligatorperformance.com...hevrolet-tahoe-suburban-avalanche-p-8794.html

I guess it's a matter of taste but I haven't seen a kit that doesn't look hideous for the tahoe/yukon. I wouldn't. Take the money and put into some badass wheels/suspension and then go the OEM route with tasteful changes. Just my thoughts but kits are kinda lame nowadays and they cost a ton of money with the paint and install.

Can I get some clarrification on this? I thought the rear bow tie emblem just above the liscense plate was attached some way other than two sided tape. Seems I recall someone asking how to cover up two little holes after they removed their rear bow tie.

the holes are for the aliginment pins. Only held on by the 2 sided adhesive.

That blows, as much as I like the cleanliness of a debadged vehicle, I believe the two holes would be more of an eyesore than just leaving the emblem stuck on - thanks for the clarrification.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I realized some of the costs associated with the painting and kits and said **** it lol.

I was able to remove the Gold Chevy badge located on the rear. I am looking to buy a chrome one to match the chrome handles on both sides of the ride. I think it would look real clean with the chrome.

Am I right with saying the grille of the 11' Tahoe is connected to the badge? I want to get a new chrome grille without the bade or the stock grille with a Chrome badge. Any ideas?

Replace your tahoe applique with a yukon applique. it's directly interchangeable.

Yet another perfect example of why I like this site so much. Thanks for that info.
The yukon applique or whatever is squared off tho and i personally dont think it matches up to the tahoes body lines....

I need your opinion: Do you think the grille in the link below would look nice on My Hoe?

http://www.carid.com/2011-chevy-tahoe-grill/ri-replacement-grilles-435063.html

I think it looks clean with the chrome door handles, chrome wheels and now matching chrome bow tie on the rear but want some opinions.....I'd really love to just simply remove the bow tie on the front grille and leave it alone. But, I am told there are holes that would show and this wouldn't look clean.

This picture is old but since then I've removed all the Tahoe declas, limo tinted all the windows except for the front drive and passenger which remain at legal tint.

Be careful with those grilles because they require you to cut the plastic divider in your bumper assembly ... be sure it's what you want cause there's no going back.

Personally I think one piece chrome/st. steel gilles are not pretty on Hoes, but if you like 'em and you're sure then go for it. :)

Btw, what the weird is that mesh stuff over the drl/turn signals in that carid grille pic?

Thanks for pointing that out, the company said I wouldn't have to cut anything.

When I seen the headlight image on that site, I also thought it was weird. They actually sell those chrome pieces to fit on the lower part of the headlight lol.

Well, it might be one of those overlay one piece grilles that goes on top of your existing ones and the plastic divider. If that's the case the upside is that there's no cutting required, the down side is that I've never seen one of those look right in real life, and most of the time one can see the stock grilles and divider behind it. Less of an issue if both the truck and grilles are black, but on yours it will look like poo. :)

When I had my 08 Denali, it looked real nice because the chrome went with the white exterior. It wasn't an overlay, I removed the Denali grille and this one fit right in. It took about 10 minutes to install. I thought this was the same type of grille.

I just don't know how it would look with the current color of my Tahoe.

Maybe I will just buy the chrome bow tie for the front but that may also be to much bling....

In my opinion the bowties, front and back, look really nice when you color match them to the truck whilst leaving their chrome surround intact.

Here's what that looked like on my old truck:

that does look sweet!

I'm sure there is a post with threads on here but where could I find paint for this and I'm sure sanding would be required, right?
