I posted in the main introduction section, but figured since I'll be here the most I'd drop a line as well.
Have an 06 L59/60e z71 Tahoe.
All stock except the Air Raid pipe I got from an 02 6.0 truck ( got to love freebies). And painted the engine cover out of boredom, nothing wild.
Also changed the valve covers to the older PCV style and the little bit of oil smell it had went away.
She has roughly 130k so as long as I maintain it I'm sure I can get another 250k out of it and it will end up matching its 06 L33 Silverado sister at 400k.
Hope to get to know you all, it's been awhile since I've been new to a forum. I havent changed vehicles in so long there was no need haha.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Welcome to TYF, from someone who drove through Chilli many times on his way to the Caterpillar plant in Mossville!

When I lived in Peoria I went to Manual HS. Tough place back then.

Depending on when you were last at Mossville CAT a whole lot has changed. DD and its parking lot is gone. Bulldozed to the dirt.

Yeah, it's been a long time. I was transferred to Denver in '85 and made trips back there until my mom passed about 7 years ago. At the time, in the very early '80s, I was driving from Streator and was a spiral winder making hydraulic hose; I know that the hose plant has been long gone. I still have 20 acres of farmland in Champaign County, but there's no need for me to go back there, my cousin does all the real farm work. Still have a sister in Peoria but, out of 6 kids, I'm the only one west of Big Muddy.

Welcome from Oregon, nice truck. Any plans for it or are you gonna leave it pretty much stock?

For now mainly stock. It's my wifes daily. Has the air raid mid pipe and the old style valve covers with the real pcv.
If I do anything it would probably be more mileage than power mods.
