I've been lurking around for a few months now, seems everyone has a lot of info and experiences to share.
I picked up my 01 XL in October of 2010 in preparation for our son to arrive, I knew we were going to need a larger vehicle then the wife's TSX. My father has owned various suburbans since the late 80's and I knew there was no substitute for the size of the suburban/XL. I purchased the XL for $5200 with 145k on it, thought it was a damn good deal. I started with the basics: tires, plugs, wires, water pump, pulleys, and a Banks intake.
Had to scratch the itch again and put in new headlights with Hids and got the rear half of a drop done today, also with air helper bags.
It is quite a change to work on this vs my civic or the wife's car, but the work that I have done so far has been fairly straight forward.
