My heat and a/c only works on the highest setting which is number 5.

From research it seams to be the blower motor resistor. From my understanding it is underneath the glove compartment

My main question for now is, is there a fuse I can check or is it just the resistor that needs to be replaced? Would it be stupid for me to pay a shop to do it? I’m not much of a diy even though looks simple if having the right tools in hand

it is pretty simple plenty of youtube videos showing how it is done, no fuse to check if it works on high then the fuse is good

Not the fuse, odds are 90+% that it's the resistor.

Be prepared if you have automatic controls (the knobs with digital temp display); the local joints want ~$70 for their brand resistor.

My went out 2 months ago and I nabbed one from a scrap yard for $20. He wanted $45. I told him I could get a new one online for ~$50, I would have to get it for $20 to take a chance on a used one from a salvage yard. He said ok, $20!
