Alright guys, so I am in the market for a new head unit on the denali. I want an indash monitor that has aux/bluetooth/dvd/mp3/etc. compatibility. It must be a flip out unit because my denali is 1.5 DIN. I'm looking to spend $400 or less. Any suggestions let me know!! I'm leaning towards a few pioneer models right now.

I recommend boss ones because of experience. I don't recommend Jensen they usually break.

I'd buy a 2003 dash and do a DD personally.

Flipouts have motors to burn out, don't look as nice IMO, and the AC vents overhang so your flipout may hit the AC vents.

A 2003 dash lets you do a DD swap, and then you have a lot more options.

What parts do I need to order/buy in order to do this swap? I agree with you guys, the flip outs dont look as well.

You need a newer dash bezel from 03+ and you'll be able to fit the double din. You also have to move your AC controls about .5" up from it's current location. I did this mod on my 01 Z71 Tahoe and it looked so much better then the flip out screen.

I bought the Pioneer AVHP4300dvd not too long ago. still in the process of remolding the dash and making new brackets but its in there for now and i couldnt be happier with it. Easy as hell to navigate with it and all the options your looking for.

I just installed a pioneer p3300bt in my 01, it wasnt hard at all modifying the stock cage and bezel to fit. I absolutely love this unit, got it @$300 new on ebay and with my iphone I can run navigation, pandora and netflix live on the unit, and it has bluetooth
