HD Hood??

thinking bout doing the HD hood mod to the Tahoe anybody have any install pics of theirs and what kind of fitment issues am i looking at

yeah true i know junkyard you run the risk of the hood being scratched or whatever and the hood its a 2002 HD silverado hood but ya ill tell my dad to call this insurance salvage place in san antonio n see how much they got one 4

its about 300 total out the door the hood on partstrain.com soo maybe if u can find one at a junkyard then itll be cheaper but those hoods are direct replacements hoods n they r new

I know there's a chance of the hood in a junkyard not being in new condition but like I said I would have to get it painted anyway so if I can get the hood for let's say $150 + paint/bodywork for another $150-$200 then I would still save money.

Will a silverado HD hood fit a Yukon as well? Or is there a Sierra HD hood?

if you got a silverado one youd have to modify it like trick26 did but idk about the sierra i dont think so......could be wrong

you have to use a chevy hd hood. gmc HD trucks hood isnt the same as the chevy. 2001-2002 year models.

you can get it for $190 from www.certifit.com and it's not just 02 model, i think it's 99-01...or 02, after that, the headlights became the cateyes, so the hood is different.

is the HD hood the same thing as a silverado hood? so would a silverado hood fot on my tahoe with no mods? just bolt on?

Narco, any hood from a 99-02 chevy silverado should bolt right up.

All you guys looking for an HD hood, check out this site that BOSS posted up in a different thread yesterday (or any other body panel for that mattter)
