Ok, finally added a Pioneer 3300BT to my 07 Yukon. Doesn't quite fit so I'll have to locate some 90* rca adapters and hope that fixes that issue. Other problem I'm having is that I cannot get the AWSC to take the steering wheel programming.

Non Bose, used the pink wire off the ASWC, hooked up to the brown "phone" wire on the GM21SR, it's my only option. Looked at the factory harness and not seeing much that isn't covered by the GM21SR already. Wondering if the steering controls come over the LAN interface? That was my assumption, if that's not the case, anyone have an idea of which wire needs to get connected to the AWSC? Everything works perfect except that and it's irritating me.

I wish I would have been locked away in a cage when I was an installer, I would have had a lot more time to actually install. I am however glad I wasn't as big of a douche as the Geek Squad installers at Best Buy. I've spoken to three different ones during various stages of my audio upgrade and none of them has been of any help whatsoever, in fact, two of them have acted as if they were god's gift to car audio and neither was any help on my GM21SR / ASWC issue, which they sold me. When I asked about the phone wire on the GM21SR being right, the first guy said "yep, that's the one". It's not, it doesn't work. I asked another guy today and he looked me up and down and said "where are you from? Who are you with?" Told him what the other installer said and he's like, ya, I don't know. Could be resistive or voltage, I'd have to look at the manual. Total a-hole. WHen I was installing I could have told you every wire color in just about any make/model/year. I could have even told you the part # for the wire harnesses and install kits off the top of my head. I guess when you do two installs a day and sit in a garage hidden from the public you don't learn much. ***end tirade***

Anyway, here is the skinny on my issue, in case anyone else runs into this. The PAC OS4gives you a steering wheel controls from the interface but I heard so many complaints about that unit that I opted for the Scosche GM21SR. Works great, minus the steering controls apparently.

I talked with Axxess tech support, and according to the manual and the guy on the phone, the dark green wire (pin 13) in the power harness is the correct wire. I'm going to try tapping that directly and see how it goes. I picked up some shorter 90* RCA adapters at radio shack so hopefully that gives me the clearance I need. That 3300BT is just a hair too deep with standard RCA ends plugged in. In fact, the antenna adapter pushes it a little bit but a slight bend gets it just out of the way. With no rca's plugged in I can get it to sit flush with little effort. Hopefully tonight will be my last attempt at getting an HU put in the truck.
