Has anyone here bought a vehicle with GM Mobile Service Plus, and been successful in using it? We are in the DFW Texas area, and I've heard several reports that people paid for this because it was on their window sticker, only to find out none of the dealers in their area participated, so they couldn't use the service. Is there a way to verify availability of this service in a particular area?

Not available here in Central NJ, at least with my dealer which is supposedly the largest in the area. I considered this when I ordered my 2025 Yukon. I have small Cadillacs in the fleet as well (no Escalade) and find the dealer servicing experience at Cadillac dealers better than I’ve found with GMC dealers, specifically readily available loaners of the same model or better. Not the case with GMC in my experience. I thought this Service Plus might be a solution to a better servicing experience with GMC without moving to the Escalade. When I asked the salesman about it, he had never heard of it, and after asking around the dealership, they didn’t offer it.

We’ve had the same experience here with all but one GMC dealer who has great service but never seems to have the truck we’re looking for. Most of the local GMC store service departments are just abysmal. The one good dealer used to accept service visits for trucks purchased from other GM dealerships at their GMC and Cadillac stores, but now won’t accept anyone that didn’t buy from them due to the increased volume of service on their own customers vehicles.

Bought in California with this on the window sticker. Not a single dealer in all of the san francisco bay area has this service. i escalated it all the way to chevy corporate and they said nothing they can do about it (i asked for crediting me for the cost of it because i paid for something that they have failed to offer).

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Will try to avoid any trucks with this on the sticker, or demand a commensurate discount. Looks like a money grab by GM at this point in time.

should be illegal. Is there even a single dealership in the country ‘participating’ in this ‘program’? No matter — it’s a service that doesn’t exist isn’t available yet, so it shouldn’t be charged on the window sticker. I don’t do pre-orders .

If they want to charge interested parties for the service once it becomes available, nothing wrong with that. But if it’s practically not available anywhere in the country, it’s nothing more than a phantom charge lining the pockets of GM suits that most people will definitely forget they even paid for in the first place.

Honorable business strategy . . .
