I'm putting my console in and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put the glove box light back in. Anyone have any pics showing how it goes in and stays in ? Thx in advance.

It's just a friction fit-those little ribs on the side keep it in. Push it in the hole lol!

I just tried but it doesn't want to come out without pushing from the back, and I'm not wanting to take my console apart. What happens when you push it in, doesn't it stay?

This is the light in the passenger side glove box .I tried putting it behind/above the glivebox and put the plunger through the hole, but it isn't working .I can't figure out how to get it to stay in there.

Is it in but just a bit wiggley? If so try some Teflon tape around the ribs. Tape is the same stuff plumbers use on fittings. Give it 3-5 wraps

Oh I thought you meant the console light since you're WORKING on the console! Why you took the glove box light out.. anyway it goes in from the front AFTER the other parts go on, not behind anything. Here's a picture.

I actually tried that! Think you'd be able to take a pic of what it looks like mounted from behind ? Is it supposed to be together like it is in my pic? When I yanked it I pulled too hard and it came out in pieces, thus my confusion .Also, my console doesn't have a light , does yours?

Yeah, it goes in as one piece. Mine has spring clips on the side , see in the picture. Maybe you broke yours off? I had to push in on them from the sides with a flat tool.

BTW that hole in mine is actually in the dash part that surrounds the airbag if that helps.
