OBS SUVs were an iconic classic design, NBS SUVs were beautiful for their time (I still think a 2006 SWB Denali is one of the most beautiful trucks ever made) and a big reason why the US consumer now only wants SUVs, and the NNBS SUVs were the high point of the GMT line, in 2009 a 6.2 Hoe was just about perfect ... imo the K2xx were a huge step backwards, and although this next gen is definitely an improvement, it is clear that it is (like most other vehicles) an exercise resulting from homogenous branding/design language driven by focus groups and marketeers.

GM is also so weirdly slow with adopting new design cues and when they do they just randomly copy other manufactures. Hey I like the red tow hooks on them Jeep Trailhawks, we should do that. Hey I like the quad exhaust pipes on that M5 lets also slap that on there, never mind that that look peaked five years ago and everyone else is using integrated tips, we'll do that next gen, and shut up NNBS designer that pointed out the Esky Premium had them. Now let's talk about the access ride feature that my wife's 2013 RR has. I mean none of it is terrible, and some of it is very functional, it's just a weird approach.

I'm not closed to them as I was with the K2xx, but I really need to see them in person and more importantly drive them. A 6.2 Yukon AT4 with a proper wheel A/T tire combo might be something I'd consider. We'll see ...

They stopped it after that. My guess is that someone at GMC raised hell. Back then the interiors were identical so other than a front clip preference there was no reason to buy a Denali if you could get a 6.2 in a Tahoe.

Awesome pics! Glad to see as timing gets closer to GA they’re starting to show up at the car shows.

The designs look great, I’m sure the proof and evidence of the success of this redesign will follow, in a spike in sales numbers. Which by the way will “spank” GM’s direct competitor, Ford Expedition and Navigator.

GMT400s look the best, GMT800s look the second best, square bodies (yes, the old ones) look 3rd best, K2XX is 4th best, and wow, these new ones are waaaaay ugly on the back.

Good eye! I believe it was a car show ad there is a VW banner in one of the shots.

GM didn’t have that lineup ready a month ago at the car show in my area. I’m looking forward to seeing them in person!

Every once in a while feels flare, it’s fine, it happens, it's human nature, I’ve been guilty of it myself, and we usually sort it out without much drama.

But as opposed to many other forums the culture here is almost always positive and supportive, so no need for a ‘mud pit’ subforum ... that’s what the rest of the internet is for.

I have the "Multi Contour Seats" (massaging seats) on my F-150 Platinum. They are awesome on long drives. They are designed mostly to get blood moving by gently rolling through a series of air bladders.

Agreed. As corny as it sounds, we use the massaging seats quite often in our F250 as well. It really does feel good. And nothing beats that panoramic roof while getting the massage.

anyway.... is the diesel a worthy option or will people just go with the standard 5.3 V8 (I’m not buying a Denali/6.2)?? Not sure the mpg improvement justifies the cost based on what I am reading.
