Fuel Pump- Delco or Bosch?

09 Suburban 2500 6.0.

Data logs for my BBP tune showed reduced fuel pressure above 3k rpm so new fuel pump time. Delco and Bosch are close in price on RockAuto, anyone have experience with either?

I'd rather do the job once than gamble on a Airtex or other aftermarket. 11 years and 236k is a good service life on the OE pump and I plan to keep this truck for a while.

I have the Delco, it's a fine unit but I am sure it will rust out again should the truck last another 13 years.

Of the 4 Daily Drivers on RA, isn't there only one front pump listed? Seems that way from the pics.

The Bosch is listed as WITH aux tank. I found it on Amazon for $120 so we'll see what happens. Both are limited lifetime warranty.

Yeah, but who wants to do that job twice?!

True. When I worked in the shop we never had a Bosch come back vs several Airtex or other parts store pumps.

Aux tank is for 2500’s they have secondary fuel tank. Get the Delco

Another Delco vote here. Like you said, 11 years and 236k miles and it is still running. No brainer, IMO.

Good that you figured it out. The description on the Bosch wasn't very clear, but the pic looked like the other aux pumps.

Agreed I just did the fuel pump in my 2008 Yukon XL Denali (1500) and it was a Bosch from the factory.

o8 burb 2500 , just replaced pump cause of rust , had it smoke tested because a p0442 code. pump still worked but started to leak fuel when filled up . yes has Aux tank also. had to replace the plastic lines that connect tank to vents aux pump and charcoal canister because line was stuck to fuel pump line and came apart (broke). other than waiting for parts not that hard to replace pump.

Got it done in a couple hours yesterday with breaks for dinner and a little league game. Turns out someone had been in there before, pulled out an Airtex pump dated 2013. So in effect the Airtex lasted longer than OEM... and it still works just doesn't keep up at high rpm anymore.

Good to know though because the only one I could get when I needed it was another Airtex.

Only PITA was the stupid evap hose that goes over the crossmember.
