Front coil over shocks

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum. I’ve got a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 4x4. I recently installed Monroe load adjust coil over shocks on the rear and it made a world of difference how my rig handles while also raising it up about an inch or so. Has anyone ever put coil over/load assist shocks on the front to give a little lift and stiffen up the suspension a little? If so, how did it affect handling and what parts did you buy?

Yeah I’ve seen those listed, but I was interested in some of the coil overs like I put on the rear.

I think there’s only two choices. Atomic Fab and JD fab. I’ve seen good reviews of both just slightly different kits/prices

I checked out both JD and Atomic. Atomic is closer to what I’m looking for but not for almost a thousand bucks. I found a similar set of coil over shocks from Monroe for around $90 a pair that go on the rear of another vehicle but I could very easily build an adapter for my lower shock mount and put them under the front of my Yukon. I just didn’t know if anyone knew of a direct bolt on or had done something like that before. I’m wanting to keep my torsion bars and just add the load assist shocks to the front to give it just a little more stiffness and stability and maybe just a little bit of lift.

These are the ones I found. The measurements are almost a perfect match for the front shocks and the upper shock mount is the same. A small bracket would have to be built for the lower one though, but aside from that, they should be a direct fit.

Right now i have these in the front of my 01 tahoe with z71 coil springs in back. very stiff ride great on highway travel but when doing about 30-55 you can feel a little bounce in the front. Ive messed with the rebound and compression rates since they are adjustable but a lot of bad roads where i live (south Texas) so needless to say im going back to torsion bars. if you interested in these let me know they are atomicfab coilover conversion for 01-06 tahoes/yukon, suburban/xl. if not theyll just sit here lol

Wow never seen anyone say they are going back! I imagine something with the setup is not right, the settings are way off, the spring rate is wrong, or something else like the spring is hitting the UCA.

I have the same setup and it rides fantastic.

Spring rate. If its too stiff its your springs.
Your setup looks great but your springs even LOOK high rate.
The look kinda low travel too.....but I understand that given that needed lower bracket.
