After 15 days of pure HELL and a new set of headlights later l. I have finally completed this project.

Basically this task was a nightmare, and a money pit.

I had to buy new headlights because the stock driver side light decided to fall out of my hands and brake on the concrete.

So I bought new lights.

Cut the the housing completely out to mount the pod.

I got a flat piece of steel and drilled two holes the size of a dime to run my mounting bolt and wires through . The bracket of the pod and the piece of steel behind the circular bezel on the back of the light pull tightly together as you tighten your mounting bolt. The LIGHT does not move and is secure.

I had them professionally painted to match the color code of my tahoe. And then got them to add a sapphire blue color on the chrome accents. I'm still waiting on my led turn signals, lowbeams and running lights.

I tapped them into to my high beam wire. Ran a relay harness with an alternate switch for convience.

While I was at it I installed two more led pods in place of my tow hooks in my bumper. I tapped those into my foglights, also with a relay harness and an alternate switch.

I'll have more pics to come.

Next project is to have clear TAILLIGHTS. Painted white to match with an led pod in place of the reverse lights

Nice work and touch with the blue accent. Let's see some night output shots, especially if you have any before and afters.

Thanks man. I don't have any before and after pics but as soon as I'm done installing all my lights. I'll take a night shot of it.

They curve with the high beam housing. I put them in straight and it threw the angles off and had to many gaps separating the pod. This way gave it a more low profile look

Looks good.

Should have threw some MH1's in the low beams while you had the headlights open.

Nice work but for the effort I would of dropped some Minis or FX-R projectors in the lights to really get great light output from regular headlights.

I am actually going to do that in the following weeks. I found an issue with one of my pods. So I'm gonna take the headlights back out. So I figured I can get rid of these lousy hids and retrofit some projectors.
