Hello all, wonder if y’all can help here. I’m wondering if these sounds are normal.

Video

FYI the video only has a 48 hour time limit.

I don't hear anything on the video. I mean anything, like a silent movie.

Thank you for telling me. I know what happened…my phone ran audio through CarPlay lol. I’ll record it again.

I hear a very low rpm scraping sound. Only thing I can think of is something might be caught in a belt or the belt might have a chunk missing.

Everything sounds normal. Have you noticed a change?
sorry for the late reply. As far as mechanically things are good. I just hear the knock either on the valve body or somewhere around the valve body. Also, it’s difficult to place a label on the second sound that has me a bit confused on. It’s like something opens and closes. It’s hard to describe

Sorry for the late reply. thank you for the info. The serpentine belt has been the same belt since I brought the car. I’ll look into changing it. Hopefully that removes a bit of sound.

When listening for engine sounds, I suggest turning off the air conditioning as sometimes its the source. I have a 2021 Yukon Denali w/6.2L engine and occasionally at idle I hear a ticking sound. When I turn off the air conditioning, the sound stops.

Thanks for the tip. In my video though, I’m not running the AC.
