Does anyone know, roughly, how much the coverage plans increase from 12k mikes to right around the 36k mile mark? Basically, on a new vehicle, is it best to buy the extended plan just before 36k miles hit? I also assume that pricing with more miles is going to be higher, which is why I'm asking this question.
Actually they take another jump when you hit 24k based on the pricing I got from Todd.
Example; Platinum 36/36k 0 ded under 24k $1089; over 24k $1470

Got it. If you wait until the very end (or very close to) you'll get more warranty coverage, but you'll also pay more for the plan. If you buy the warranty with low miles (say under/around 5k) you'll pay less for the protection, but it overlaps with GM coverage.

Barring the price increase topic, you want to buy just shy of 12k miles (11500), don’t over buy the warranty, if you know you will get the itch and trade up. Example I know I will not last past 50k.. so my warranty is out at 50k. The refund prorate varies by state and time elapsed. So assume you will get nothing back… that said max of 10 days of rental car per incident makes it almost free in my weird math.
