I just picked up my 96 yukon. i checked underneath and the exhaust is pretty new however it has a HUGE stock style muffler on it. what kind of muffler is going to give me the Best/ Loudest sound without being annoying? ive always put magnaflows on my VW's but not to sure about my yukon... any help would be great!

Best is a subjective word because it's all personal preference sound wise, I prefer the chambered style muffler sound myself. Power wise is a wash too in my opinion, a few hp here and there isn't enough of a difference to even be noticed on a stock or mostly stock vehicle. Any aftermarket muffler will do just fine

****** Aerochamber, still a straight thru muffler for all the ''chambered mufflers don't flow'' Nazis

I didn't post any videos of the newer LS engines, they have a different note to them because of the firing order when compared to a SBC

I have always been rather fond of Magnaflows. The sound is what gets me, it has that clean deep sound without and raspyness.

This is how its sitting right now. I need to finish it off with some tailpipes.
Tri-Ys, Magnaflow 59956 cats and 12568 muffler. While this is the largest muffler of the bunch, you have a few smaller options. I was looking for a smooth deep sound with zero drone. Once the tails are on that is what I will achieve.

i have a flowmaster 50 series DI/DO on mine. i consider it to be to quiet, but does sound decent and no drone in the cab on the highway.

I plan on going with Spintech or Magnaflow myself.

The biggest thing that has kept me from running a louder exhaust, is that i leave for work early in the morning.I really don't want to wake up or piss off anyone lol.
