You drive a 00-06? I'm sure someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think you have to buy the entire back glass with the light on it. Maybe not but that's all I have found for it.

i might just get one of the one that goes in between the bumper and tailgate then instead, it still looks good and is easier and cheaper dont you guys think? Im all about low cost, useful mods and i just cant drop that much money for the esky light, i figured it was gonna be pretty expensive tho

You mean the aftermarket led light bar? If so... My vote would be no... Just save up for the real Esky third brake light!

Since you asked...
No I don't think the LED light bars under the tailgate look good.

no offense taken, they have been back on for the last 2 months. so you guys dont think i should do the tailgate led light bar like the pick up truck ones?

i think im gonna color match my grill surround bermuda blue, and get a billet grill upper and lower. thoughts?

denali down under=2.5 times the cost of a billet

im on a college budget ;p

$75 for upper and lower versus $200 for a lower is not worth it.

yes..gotta replace whole glass....

The best way to go is to replace the entire glass. HOWEVER, you can just put the housing for the brake light and the brake light on with some 3M automotive double sided tape. The factory has it screwed in with 3 screws and it also has 3M tape on it. That tape is super strong and I am sure it would hold that up there, especially if you used a good amount of it.

Not sure you'd be able to find these parts separately for cheap. They are both pretty expensive to buy new.

See here: Part 40 & 8.

thanks man thats what i was wondering. I wonder that since the escalade and denali are essentially the same if the bolts line up?

No, the bolts do not line up. For what reason? I do not know! On the GMT900's, the bolt holes do line up for the moulding.

Yeah I want that 3rd BAD but spending $600+ for it kinda scares me away. I was quoted $750 without paint.

If you buy the glass, it comes pre-painted (if you have a color that they offered on the Escalade). Unfortunately the prices have gone WAY up on these from GM.

i swapped mine at a junkyard, i got the esky vent caps and rear window with entire 3rd brake light assembly for $400. they wanted like $600 for all of it but i offered to trade them my rear window, so they gave me 200 for it. still a nice chunk of money, but it looks sooo much more awesomer :)

now i gotta go back and get the esky bumper...i totally spaced out and forgot it .
