Anyone ever remove them? Any pics without them? Are they an integral part of the look of the truck. I dunno, just thinking about taking them off my 2004, I dont really need them. Thoughts?

haha well first I need to see what the truck looks like without them before I even take them off. Personally I think it makes the truck look like it has the ground clearance of a station wagon. But I think I am putting some american racing 20's on it this weekend if the deal works out, then I'll decide.

Still, if anyone has any pics of an escalade without them let me know or post it up here!

look underneath the running boards and there should be some long bolts to unscrew and pull out...rather simple

...wondering if you did this, and if so, if you've taken any photos yet? I'm thinking about doing it to my 05 EXT.

I haven't taken them off yet no. I got sidetracked with other projects and repairs the truck needed, and the weather up here in new england is finally just getting warm enough to some outside work. It's on my to-do list. But from what I hear it's easy. I think it will look better with more ground clearance.

are you going for a lowered look or not? i tried taking mine off, but with them off the truck looked much higher, which is the opposite of what im goin for..also the tahoes/eskys have alot of frame that shows with them off compared to a truck

Oh I was actually going for a higher ride height look. Im not a fan of lowered trucks. I mean to each their own, but it's just not for me. I like my truck to sit like a truck. I had a lifted Wrangler TJ before this so I'm used to a little clearance :)
