more power!6.2L to a 5.3L?
im curious why you would want to?
If there's nothing wrong with the 6.2, I would keep it. It's a sought-after engine for these trucks. I've been here a long time and not once have I ever seen anyone go from a 6.2 to a 5.3. Plenty of people going the other way though.Because I have a chance to buy it a '09 Yukon and I have a engine and excellent condition out of a 2008 Suburban
Any idea what's wrong with the 6.2?Thank you yeah the six two is bad I'm buying the truck with a bad engine and the five three does have a FM that's what I was concerned about fuel delivery and such as far as fuel pressure and injectors I don't know if they'll swap out or not that's what I was wondering I could swap intakes plenums exhaust manifolds the Denali has headers on it

To answer your question, it will bolt up and the harnesses should be the same. Most of the work would be in the electronics and tuning. The 6.2 has larger fuel injectors and also has VVT, which your 5.3 may not have, and possibly AFM, which it *will* have. So those parameters would all need to be accounted for in the tune.
They don't do 'base' or canned tunes. They can send you a tune that will get you up and running and then when you do a datalog session they will send you a new tune based on the data.Does anyone know if BlackBear Performance has a base tune for this swap?

Has anyone ever swapped on a 2009 Yukon 6.2 to a 5.3 2008 Suburban engine
Were you running regular gas in it? We see this after about 100K with folks using 87 octane in their high compression engines. The 62 dropped some piston rings on one cylinder
I don't know what fuel they ran I bought it like thatWere you running regular gas in it? We see this after about 100K with folks using 87 octane in their high compression engines.
Either way, fixing up the original engine would be my suggestion. What state do you call home?
We'll be glad to help you swap the LC9 in place of the L9H.
