My 2022.5 AT4 3.0 has been having the engine fan kick on extremely loud and very shortly after starting the engine. It also will remain on for a few minutes after I turn the vehicle off.

I’m not doing any towing or strenuous driving and it’s low 80s where I’m at, so I am not remotely concerned about the engine overheating.

Anyone deal with this before? Would this be covered under the powertrain warranty?

I had a thermostat sensor fail on my 23 duramax. Fan kicked on high shortly after start on a cold engine. It was showing me higher temps though so if you're not seeing that, this may not apply. \

They replaced the sensor under warranty but didn't vacuum out the system properly and an air bubble caused the engine to start to overheat and hoses blew under the hood. It was a mess of an experience and frustrating that it could have been prevented had they properly vacuumed the system out.

If you're not seeing higher temps, hopefully someone else can help you.

I seem to recall this type of behavior when my Coolant Control Valve failed. I assume no CEL or codes?

Correct. No codes at all.

Just dropped it off at the dealer. Really hoping it’s covered under the powertrain warranty since I’m out of bumped to bumper coverage

Remember, if it was still under BTB for last visit it is covered under it now. Can not duplicate issue means they only sorta tried to fix if it were easy. To keep labor low/profits hi.
Stealership shops are the only consistant profit generator. But they still need to be managed well to avoid mishaps like yours.

UPDATE: dealer found the issue, a hose from the coolant reservoir had come loose and leaked coolant, not enough to trip a code but enough to cause an issue.

Dealer reattached it and topped off the coolant at no charge. Problem solved
