I have had my efans installed on my truck for prolly about a year or alittle over a year. It is the Flex-a-lite 280 set that i bought from summitracing.com. It keeps blowing the in-line 30A fuse that is attached to the battery. It has blown the fuse 3 times in the past two weeks. Would like some help with this if anyone has any knowledge on this issue.

TO add: My truck has the flex-a-lite 280 kit. It also has a sound system that is aftermarket. Just a new head unit, rear 4x10's, door speakers and tweeters, and a 5-channel amp and subwoofer. There is also a inline fuse for the stereo, but it hasnt blown at all.

Like i said, would like some help or things to check. It only seems to blow the fuse when its hot out and the stereo is on.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

Sounds like somethings grounding out... Recheck the wires... replace that inline fuse with a self resetting fuse...

You can buy 30 amp ATO size circuit breakers at advance auto. They look like the two grey metal circuit breakers for the power windows in the fuse box on the side of the dash.

But yeah you have a short somewhere in the fan circuit that is popping the fuse. Check for frayed, pinched or exposed wiring. Could even be the fan itself shorting out.

Thanks for the responses guys! Going out to check those soon when the heat goes down a bit here in Texas. Dad was thinking it was the terminals plugged into the little computer that came with the system. They didnt feel very sturdy when we plugged them in. Will let everyone know what we find.
