I have a 2001 GMC Yukon and my emergency brake alarm has just recently started staying on. I can't get it off. The e-brake works fine. Doesn't stick. The alarm goes on when I drive and turns off when I stop. How can I stop the alarm from staying on all the time?
E break alarm won't stop.

Take a look at the parking brake cable assembly (by your left foot, sitting in the driver's seat) and see if there is a wire connected to the copper-colored connector. There should be a wire connected there:

like mentioned above make sure that sensor is adjusted properly and that the parking brake is all the way released, pull the release and lift the pedal up by hand to be sure it is all the way up.
