Door panel vinyl

Hey fellow members!

I have searched forever but cannot find anything on this. Is anyone having a problem with discoloration on the top vinyl portion of the door panel?

If so what is the fix if any? What do you use to clean it? Nothing I use seem to work and goes back within a couple hours. Thinking about getting it wrapped in leather.

I am too, also there's this sticky substance that won't go away. I've cleaned it and protected it with many different products yet it still feels sticky

There's a really good product out there called "Z Cleaner" that a lot of boaters use on vinyl when there is sticky stuff that won't come off. I'd use that then use vinyl conditioner after you get the sticky stuff off. Although I'd dilute it First i think it would be harsh for auto vinyl.

OMG, I can't believe it y'all trucks are almost new. My 05 YD is not even faded and its 12yrs old. GM's quality is going to shit from what I see.

I agree...doesn't really make sense a less than 2 year old car is having this problem.

I will give that a shot. If it doesn't work i'll consider getting it wrapped in leather. Thanks!

It's not unfortunately and the dealer basically said I was sol. Surprised there aren't more members with this problem or more responses. No offense to anyone but this forum is kind of weak for 2015+ owners lol

No offense to anyone but GM pussyfied the 2015+ Hoes, Burbs and Esky's . Not as well built than in the past, (like 20 years ago) just my opinion sorry.

I am starting to agree. My buddy has a 2011 Yukon...never any issues...what made me want to get one smh

I've got a 2015 Yukon, SLE- My panels are fine, but I've used a product called "UV Tech". It's a scuba product, (basically, an upgraded version of food-grade silicone). I've never been a fan of others as they are mild and tend to require multiple treatments, and can lead to other issues, (concentrated dirt buildup, etc). If there's a scuba shop in the area, or an REI, maybe even amazon, it will put a nice deep shine on your vinyl, leather, plastic, rubber, painted areas, etc and won't "fade" into the material quickly. I last applied a coat (I spray it onto a microfiber towel and wipe it on, vs spraying it directly on) about 4 months ago, and still have an "enriched" shine on my dash, door and panels. If you buy it in bulk, you can put it into a spray bottle for lighter applications. I've never tried it on my tires, but I'm sure it would work well too. It won't help much with your cleaning, but the Z-Cleaner for boats works well, but make sure you dilute it a bit, it is strong. You can also try PVC Boat cleaner.

Couldn't hurt to try- Along with tinted windows and a windshield shade.
